A central aspect of my practice involves instructing meditation and breath-work practices. While the term "mindfulness" may carry certain connotations, I find that "heartfulness" more accurately captures the essence of any meditation practice. By centering our attention on heartfulness, we shift our focus away from the mind and towards the richness of our ever-present heart, guided by the breath.
These techniques have a common purpose in part, they all serve to quieten the mind, granting us entry to the love and wisdom inherent in a perpetually open heart. It's crucial to recognize that the heart is a constant wellspring of love and truth, always ready to welcome us home if we can quiet the ceaseless chatter of our thoughts.
As the saying goes, "We are merely one thought away from being present in the moment, it is only the thinking mind that keeps us away from the heart's embrace, and all that it has to offer.” Nigel Lott teaandzen.org
