Stay true to who you are, stay true to your core values and principles without worrying about others’ opinions…..however, stay open hearted and flexible…there is always more to learn, remember.
Always a good idea in communicating with others, is to know before talking to the other person (s) what your truth is and what is negotiable and what is not, what your positions are ahead of contact with other.
There are some personalities with whom you cannot negotiate, simply cannot because of their narcissism or sociopathy traits, for example, so always a good idea to find your truth, your place of integrity within yourself before any contact with other, no matter what personality is in front of you. Be flexible, but always honor YOUR truth.
So often we find ourselves in conversation that turns to argument because we are trying to convince the other of our position, we are trying to sway them to our truth because we have not arrived at that place, that truth deep enough within ourselves, we are not fully owning our position within ourselves, otherwise there would be no need to persuade another of it.
We strain to get the other to believe us, to believe our truth which is a clear indication we are not rooted in our own belief system, deeply enough. I mean if you really owned your truth you would not need anyone else from the outside to believe you.
In other words it is our connection with our own hearts truth that we all must find from within ourselves....When doubts come, as they must from time to time have a few people whom you trust and love who can help reflect back the truth within, it is always an inside job.
